Vermiculite is obtained after a kiln passage (about 900°C). During this process it is separated into several layers.

In this way it gives the substrate with which you mix it a lighter and more airy texture.

We advise you not to add more than 40% vermiculite when mixing it with your potting soil.

Vermiculite is very interesting for plants, because it brings at the same time an enormous capacity to retain water (up to 3 times its weight) while ensuring a very good aeration to the substrate you will use.
