Iochroma cyaneum 'Purple'

Reference : IOC-CYA-000

Iochroma cyaneum produces numerous terminal clusters of dark blue umbel-like flowers.

It is the most commonly traded species and is found in gardens with a mild climate.

Description

The Iochroma is characterised by a low hardiness due to its tropical origin but a rapid growth.

Pruning at the end of winter gives it a more compact habit.

Watering should be regular in summer and more spaced out in winter to allow the top layer of soil to dry.
